Book Lovers was the perfect 21st century American quintessential love story - strong female lead with a hot, kind and supportive love interest stuck in a maze between choosing their dreams and choosing their love.
One of the reasons why I loved this book so much was because everything went by the way I selfishly wanted it to go, Nora chose strength before weakness, chose her loved ones before herself and if this isn’t what 21st women are-
Plus the one-liners this story had -oh my god- was so hilarious it felt wrong NOT to underline them (spoiler alert: I ended up highlighting 80% of the book. Yes, that’s how funny it was.)
Definitely not the quintessential love story we know of, but something better. 5/5 stars for Book Lovers by Emily Henry.
